Inspiration

Inspiration struck from an unexpected place. While watching her younger brother play Roblox’s Natural Disaster Survival, Siri Vadlamudi, our co-founder and president, wondered: “What if we could use games like this to teach climate awareness?” That simple question became the seed for our journey into gamification for climate education.

Recognition

Siri created a video proposal for the Climate Red TV Reporter Challenge, which was later showcased at COP27, amplifying the vision of using play as a tool for climate learning.

Our work quickly gained international recognition. Siri’s gamification proposal placed 6th in the Climate and Environmental Innovation Challenge and was awarded 5,000 CHF in funding, making it one of only eight projects worldwide to receive this prestigious support. This achievement affirmed the power of youth-driven innovation in addressing climate challenges and set the stage for the Youth Gamification Club’s growth.
